European Championship 2026 501 DO MEN

189 players from 14 countries registered to play for the most prestigious individual tittle of European Softip Darts Championships 2026. The biggest fafourite of the tournament was winner of last two 501 championships 2024 and 2025, Boris Krčmar from Croatia. And in connection with this player we were withessed a bizzare situation. Boris was on right way to gain his third tittle in the row. He easily reached last 8 players position. But from that KO phase of tournament, there were only stage matches followed till we new the winner. For many years referees always require dress code for games played on stage. While seved payers accepted this dress code requirement, Boris Krčmar wanted to play in shorts. When he was informed that he would not be allowed to play in shorts at this stage of the tournament, he left the stage, stating that he would not continue in the tournament. His decission opened road to tittle to other players and this chance took his Croatian colleague Romeo Grbavac ( Croatia ) and reached his first tittle it category 501 DO. Second place belongs to Tiago Alexandre Silva Franco from Portugal. Luis Miguel Candil Varas from Spain a Matej Močinič from Croatia finished on third place.
